07 Questions

Cockroach control FAQs

Q.01

Can cockroaches spread between flats?

Yes. They travel through service ducts and pipework, so in blocks of flats several properties may need treating.

Q.02

Do you treat commercial kitchens?

Yes. We treat restaurants, takeaways and food premises and provide written reports for your records and inspections.

Q.03

Which cockroaches are found in UK homes?

The German cockroach and the Oriental cockroach are the most common in UK buildings. German cockroaches favour warm kitchens; Oriental cockroaches prefer cooler, damp areas such as drains and basements.

Q.04

Are cockroaches dangerous?

Cockroaches can carry bacteria such as salmonella onto food and surfaces, and their droppings and shed skins can trigger allergies and asthma.

Q.05

Can I get rid of cockroaches myself?

Shop-bought sprays tend to scatter cockroaches deeper into walls and units. Targeted gel baits placed where they feed, with follow-up checks, are more reliable.

Q.06

Do you offer cockroach control near me?

If you are in or around Harlow, yes. We provide cockroach control across Harlow, Epping, Loughton, Theydon Bois, North Weald, Ongar and Debden, for homes, rented properties and businesses. Call 07388 896412 to arrange a visit.
